As a safety professional I have spent years scouring the web for interesting and relative safety meeting topics to share with employees to help engage them in the safety process. I found that frequent and short bursts of safety information on a variety of topics truly worked best in our organization to contstantly relay the true message of safety . . . think before you do.

Different organizations call them different things. I've heard these short safety driven meetings referred to as: safety talks, toolbox talks, 5-minute safety talks, tailgate talks, tailgate topics, safety minute and a slew of other name. Whatever name you call them by, I think you'll find that they can be beneficial as part of your safety efforts. They are designed to be fairly quick, interesting, non-comprehensive and relative topics about a specific safety topic or fact to assist in getting employees to think about safety as they head out to work.

Over the years I have scoured the internet for such topics and have accumulated quite a collection. Quite honestly the search can be difficult to find such interesting and relative topics. I decided that I would take the time to share my research with other safety professionals to help them shorten the journey of including these meetings as part of their safety efforts so I developed this site.
